Adi Godrej
Chairman, Godrej Group
Adi Godrej is Chairman of The Godrej Group, an over 100 year-old family conglomerate, with operations in India and many other countries. Mr. Godrej earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.

He is the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Chairman of the Board of the Indian School of Business. Mr. Godrej has been the president of several Indian Trade and Industrial Bodies and associations. He has been a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council of the MIT Sloan School of Management, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and a member of the Wharton Asian Executive Board. Mr. Godrej is a patron of the Himalayan Club. He is a recipient of several awards and recognitions including the Rajiv Gandhi Award 2002, The American India Foundation (AIF) Leadership in Philanathropy Award, May 2010, The Entrepreneur of the Year for the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2010, Best Businessman of the Year for the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2010, Chemexcil’s Life Time Achievement Award 2010, AIMA-JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award 2010, BMA-Management Man of the Year Award 2010-2011 and Qimpro Platinum Standard award for business in 2011.
Ajay G. Piramal
Chairman, Piramal Group
Mr. Ajay Piramal leads the Piramal Group - a 2 bn. dollar conglomerate with a presence across 100 countries. An exceptional entrepreneur and innovator, he enabled the Piramal Group to evolve from a textile centric business to a diversified business with interests across pharmaceuticals, packaging, financial services and real estate. Besides heading the boards of Piramal group companies, Mr. Piramal is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Technology, Indore. He is a Member of the Board of Dean’s Advisors of the Harvard Business School. He is also the Chairman of Pratham India, the largest NGO in education sector with a reach of 33 million children.

In the past, Mr. Piramal has been a Member of Prime Minister’s Task Force on Pharmaceuticals & Knowledge-Based Industries and a member of PM’s Council for Trade & Industry. Mr. Piramal was a Member of the World Economic Forum’s Governors’ Forum on Healthcare and often addressed at WEF on various topics. He has served as a Member of Central Board of Directors of State Bank of India. Mr. Piramal has also been a member of National Council of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He was the Chairman of the Drugs and Pharmaceutical Council of CII from 2004 to 2009.

Mr. Piramal holds a Masters in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and an Advanced Management Programme from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Piramal was accorded the “India Innovator of the Year 2008” Award by CNBC TV 18. He was given “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award of UK Trade & Investment Council (2006). He received Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award (2004) in the Healthcare & Life Sciences category. He was also presented “CEO of the Year Award” by World Strategy Forum in 1999.
Analjit Singh
Founder & Chairman, Max India Limited
Mr Analjit Singh is the Founder & Chairman of Max India Limited, a billion dollar conglomerate, with interests in life and health insurance, health care, medical research, speciality packaging films and senior living. A self-made entrepreneur, Mr Analjit Singh was awarded Padma Bhushan, one of India’s top civilian honours, by Government of India in 2011. Under his leadership, Max India has emerged as one of India’s leading companies for service excellence.

An alumnus of Doon School and Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, Mr Analjit Singh holds an MBA from Graduate School of Management, Boston University. He is the non-executive Chairman of Vodafone India and a Director on the boards of several leading companies such as Tata Global Beverages and Sofina NV/SA, Belgium. He is a member of Prime Minister’s Joint Indo-US CEOs Forum and the Chairman of CII’s National Committee on Insurance & Pension. He has been felicitated by Senator Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State on behalf of Indian American Centre for Political Awareness for his outstanding achievement in presenting the international community with an understanding of a modern and vibrant India and for creating several successful joint ventures with leading American companies and promoting business ties with the USA. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Indian School of Business (ISB), India’s top ranked B-School, and Chairman of Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. An Honorary Consul General of the Republic of San Marino in India, Mr Analjit Singh has in past served as the Chairman of Board of Governors of the Doon School and as Chairman of the Mohali Campus Advisory Board of the ISB.

Through his role as the Chairman of the Max India Foundation and Bhai Mohan Singh Foundation, he is actively involved in social service and philanthropy. He was recently awarded the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Service Category) and the Golden Peacock Award for Leadership and Service Excellence.
Anil Sainani
Director, S & S Empowering Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Chief Advisor Grant Thornton India LLP
Mr. Anil Sainani is member of a business family, a Family Business Expert and an Executive Coach to family business owners. Before venturing into family governance consulting, Mr. Sainani worked in his own family business for 5 years and then in Government of India as a civil servant, for over 13 years. He has been a visiting faculty to IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore and has had a long association with ISB. The family governance interventions made by Mr. Sainani in his own family business have been taught as a case study at ISB and Kellogg School.

He has conducted workshops and lead case discussions on Family Business for organizations like Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Young Presidents Organization Delhi, Bangalore and Nairobi (Kenya), All India Management Association (AIMA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Federation of Automobile Dealers of India (FADA); National Foundation for Corporate Governance (NFCG) and Madras Management Association (MMA). He has also authored a book on family business, titled, “Triumph of Togetherness” Mr. Sainani has done his Masters from IIM Bangalore and holds a Diploma in Creative Writing in English and a Masters’ degree in Arts.
Aravind Srinivasan

Administrator, Aravind Eye Hospitals
Aravind Srinivasan is an ophthalmologist and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. After his MBA, he took over as the Administrator of Aravind Eye Care System and was instrumental in bringing changes to various facets of the organization. Apart from administrating the institution, he also performs surgeries and takes care of the patients. He is involved in teaching eye health management courses. He has presented the “Aravind Model” of high volume, high quality, cost effective eye care in numerous International Conferences. He is also a resource person for Indian Institute of Management and Mentor for the MBA students of Wharton School of Business and University of Michigan.

Srinivasan is also the Director of Projects, which serves as a strategic direction to address the basic issues of providing eye care in the underserved regions. Currently the area that fascinates him is “Aravind Managed Eye Care Services” through which the organization is planning to reach a million surgeries.
Arun Bharat Ram
Chairman, SRF Limited
Arun Bharat Ram is the Chairman of SRF Limited, which he had set up in 1971. Having global operations, SRF is today the market leader in most of its businesses in India and also enjoys significant global presence in some of its businesses. He initiated Total Quality Management in SRF as its Management Way and the Company has won the prestigious Deming Prize for two of its businesses, tyre cord business in 2004 and Chemicals Business in 2012 under his leadership.

Arun Bharat Ram hails from the renowned business family of Delhi – the DCM-Shri Ram Group that has a legacy of over hundred years. He is an alumnus of the University of Michigan, U.S.A.

He was the President of CII in 2000-2001. He continues to chair many of the councils of the confederation. He is the chairman of SRF Foundation and Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi. He has recently been elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Charities Aid Foundation, India. He is the Indian Co-Chairman of the Indo German Consultative Group.

Arun Bharat Ram has won many awards including Jamshedji Tata Award, by the Indian Society for Quality (ISQ) for the year 2006 and the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit, presented by the Federal Government of Germany in 2008.
Arun Pereira
Clinical Associate Professor & Executive Director – Centre for Teaching, Learning and Case Development
Professor Arun Pereira is Clinical Associate Professor, and Executive Director, Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Case Development at ISB. Previously, he was Associate Professor of Marketing at the Cook School of Business, Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO, USA (1991-2008). His recent teaching awards include: 2012 Professor of the Year (Elective Courses) at ISB, Best Teacher, Executive MBA (Class of 2004), and Best Teacher, Executive MBA (Class of 2005), at the Boeing Institute of International Business, Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO.

Professor Pereira's research has appeared in various journals including, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, International Journal of Management Science, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Product and Brand Management, Psychology and Marketing, Journal of Retailing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Ethics, and International Journal of Research in Marketing. His most recent book, co-authored with N. Singh, is The Culturally Customised Website (Elsevier, 2005). He has designed and taught executive training programme for various Fortune 500 companies, and is an External Faculty at McKinsey & Co.
Dieter Spaelti
Managing Partner and CEO, Spectrum Value Management Ltd, Zurich
Swiss national, born February 27, 1961. He studied law at the University of Zurich, obtaining a doctorate in 1989. He began his professional career as a credit officer with Bank of New York in New York, before taking up an appointment as CFO of Tyrolit (Swarovski group), based in Innsbruck and Zurich, in 1991. From 1993 until 2001, he was with McKinsey & Company, ultimately as a partner, and was involved in numerous projects with industrial, financial and technology firms in Europe, the US and Southeast Asia. In October 2002, he co-founded Swiss-based Spectrum Value Management Ltd, which administers the industrial and private investments of the family Thomas Schmidheiny. He joined Spectrum Value Management Ltd. as Managing Partner and at the beginning of 2006 he became CEO. In addition he serves as member of the Board of Holcim, Rieter, IHAG Holding and Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. In India he was a Board member of the Mumbai-based Edelweiss Capital.
Gopal Srinivasan
Chairman & Managing Director, TVS Capital Funds Ltd
Gopal, a member of the TVS family, is the Chairman & Managing Director of TVS Capital Funds Limited, a PE fund to develop and nurture India’s mid-cap businesses into world-class companies. Gopal, a commerce graduate from Loyola College, Chennai and an MBA from University of Michigan, USA, founded TVS Electronics Limited. He continues to be its Chairman and is a Director in TVS & Sons Ltd and other group companies.

Gopal was the Chairman of the “Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)” Tamil Nadu State Council for the year ‘07-‘08. He was also the Chairman of CII National Committee for Private Equity & Venture Capital for 2010-11. Gopal had also been a Board member in Great Lakes Institute of Management.

Gopal, a passionate entrepreneur, has incubated many businesses and has over twenty five years of experience in the field of business. He is associated with Chennai Angels and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) where he provides guidance to the budding entrepreneurs on incubating businesses.
Harsh C Mariwala
Chairman & Managing Director, Marico Limited
Mr. Harsh Mariwala leads Marico Limited (Marico) as its Chairman and Managing Director. Over the last 3 decades, Mr. Mariwala has transformed a traditional commodity driven business into a leading Consumer Products & Services Company, in the Beauty and Wellness space. From a turnover of Rs.50 Lakhs in 1971, Marico's Products and Services in Hair Care, Skin Care and Healthy Foods generated a turnover of about Rs. 4008 crores during 2011-12. Marico markets well-known brands such as Parachute, Saffola, Kaya, Mediker, Revive, among others.

Being passionate about innovation, Mr. Mariwala founded the Marico Innovation Foundation in 2003. He has recently launched ASCENT - an initiative to help budding entrepreneurs in scaling-up their business. He has been the President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for the year 2011 – 2012.

Mr. Mariwala has received several prestigious awards and recognitions including the NDTV Profit Business Leadership Award 2009, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2009 and India Talent Management Award at the CNBC TV18 India Business Leader Awards 2009.
Meher Pudumjee
Chairperson – Thermax Limited
Meher Pudumjee is the Chairperson of Thermax Ltd, a company focussed in the businesses of energy and the environment.

A postgraduate in Chemical Engineering from the Imperial College of Science & Technology, London, Meher joined Thermax as a trainee engineer in August 1990.

A year later, along with her husband Pheroz Pudumjee, she took over the responsibility of managing the Thermax subsidiary company in the UK.

After her return to India in September 1996, she was appointed on the Board of Directors. With her newly acquired interest in Finance, she worked closely with the treasury and working capital management functions of Thermax.

In January 2001 she became a non-executive director and was appointed Vice Chairperson in 2002. During this period she played an active role in the turnaround of the company, alongwith the senior management of the company.

She has taken over as Chairperson, Thermax Limited, effective October 5, 2004, after the retirement of Mrs. Anu Aga.
Mohan Reddy BVR
Chairman and Managing Director, Infotech Enterprises Ltd
Mr BVR Mohan Reddy is the Chairman and Managing Director of Infotech Enterprises Ltd. After successful stints with some big corporates in India, he established Infotech in 1991. Infotech is now a US $324 million IT company that employs more than 10000 professionals who operate from its 30 locations across the globe. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and University of Michigan, Mr Reddy has around thirty years of Engineering and Management Experience. He is a member of the Executive Council of NASSCOM since 2003. He is actively involved with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and serves on its various Councils. He was the Chairman of CII’s AP State Council during 2002-2003 and the Southern Region during 2008-09. He also serves on councils of various academic and industry related forums.

Mr. Reddy currently serves as the Chairman of Board of Governors of IIT Hyderabad. He was conferred honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. IIT, Kanpur has recognized Mr. Reddy with the Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA). ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) conferred him with CIE Leadership Award for 2011. He has been awarded “India Geospatial Leadership Award” at India Geospatial Forum 2012 in recognition of his pioneering efforts in this area of business.
Nabankur Gupta

Mr. Nabankur Gupta is the founder of Nobby Brand and Strategic Marketing Consultants and Chairman & Co Founder of Blue Ocean Capital & Advisory Services Pvt Ltd.

An IIT Delhi alumnus, Mr. Gupta has had long experience in business with the likes of Philips, Videocon and Raymond.

At Philips, he was trained in Europe in Advanced marketing management and International management. In his stint as Executive Director at Videocon, he developed strategies for sub-branding and multi-branding in the consumer durables business for the first time in India. Advertising Age International, New York, awarded him the title of “Marketing Superstar” for this initiative in 1996.

As the Group President of the Raymond Group he acquired some highly synergestic companies to support the group’s strategic growth plans. He re-launched brands and further reinforced Raymond’s leadership position in textile and apparel space.
Peter Leach
Founder and Chairman, Peter Leach & Partners LLP, London
Peter Leach is the Founder and Chairman of Peter Leach & Partners LLP, an advisory firm for entrepreneurial families. With over 30 years of experience as a business advisor, teacher and facilitator working with family business owners internationally, he is seen as the "founding father" of family business thinking in the UK. Peter specializes in working with multi-generational family businesses on governance issues. Peter is author of ‘Family Businesses: The Essentials,’ and has written a number of other books on the subject. Peter holds the post of Adjunct Professor in Family Business at Imperial College London. A much sought after speaker, Peter lectures at business schools and universities all over the world and is frequently quoted in the British and international press. He has addressed a wide range of organisations on the significance and contribution of the family business sector, including the CBI and the European Commission.

He is the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the UK Institute for Family Business, and is a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute of the USA. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, having previously been a senior partner at BDO, one of the world’s largest accountancy firms for 25 years. Peter currently sits as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Pentland Group Plc, a well-known UK family business.

Peter was awarded the Family Business Place Red Ribbon Award in 2010, for his outstanding contribution to the field of Family Business. Peter was also awarded the Richard Beckhard Award in 2011, by the Family Firm Institute, USA.

A Post Graduate in Management, Prasad M Kumar brings over 40 years of experience in several leading and diverse organizations in senior leadership and consulting positions.

He holds key international accreditations in Process Facilitation and is an empanelled worldwide facilitator for the Forum of the Young Presidents Organisation and The World Presidents Organisation. He holds the distinction of being a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) of The International Association of Facilitators.

As Business Chairman – Institution Building & Governance and Member of the GMR Group Holding Board, he is responsible for providing Strategic direction to Institution Building, Corporate Governance, Information Technology, Sustainability, Family Office, Homeland Security, Emerging Business, Human Resources, Facility Management Services and Corporate Communications.
Ramachandran Kavil
Thomas Schmidheiny Chair Professor of Family Business and Wealth Management, ISB
Professor Ram is the Thomas Schmidheiny Chair Professor of Family Business and Wealth Management at the Indian School of Business. He has specialized in family business, entrepreneurship and strategy and has over 33 years of experience as an academic. He obtained a Ph.D. from the Cranfield School of Management, UK in 1986 on a comparative study of the small enterprise policies of Japan, UK and India. He has done research on family business, entrepreneurship and strategy, and has authored/edited six books and published extensively in reputed Indian and overseas journals. His consulting experience includes areas such as family business governance, professionalization, succession planning, strategic planning, and identification of new opportunities for growth, corporate entrepreneurship and turn around strategies in family and non-family environments. He has written several management cases, and has conducted training programmes for family businesses on governance, professionalization, strategic management and entrepreneurship. He has been associated with the FBN International for several years, and has served on various advisory committees of the Government of India, World Bank, Securities and Exchange Board of India.
Ramnarayan S
Clinical Professor, Indian School of Business
Dr. Ramnarayan S (Ram) is Clinical Professor at the Indian School of Business (ISB). After his engineering and MBA, Ram earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.

After initial years in industry, he has been a faculty at the Tata Management Training Centre, Pune for 5 years, and later Professor at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad for 13 years. He has been visiting faculty at the Case Western Reserve University for a year and Guest Professor at the University of Bamberg, Germany for close to two years.

He has helped several organizations in the areas of change, leadership and organization development. He has carried out research funded by Ford Foundation, World Bank, Commonwealth Secretariat, Department for International Development, Human Capital Leadership Institute and German Science Foundation. He has served on the Boards of business organizations and educational and social service institutions, and has received awards from leading professional bodies for his contributions.

Apart from research papers, monographs and case studies, Ram has co-authored books on “Managing Organizational Change”, “Changing Tracks: Reinventing the Spirit of Indian Railways”, and “Change Management: Altering Mindsets in a Global Context” and co-edited books titled “Organization Development: Accelerating Learning and Transformation”, “Life After 360 Degree Feedback”, “Strategic Management of Public Enterprises in Developing Countries”, and “Managerial Dilemmas: Cases in Organizational Behavior”.
Raveendra Chittoor
Assistant Professor of Strategy, Indian School of Business
Raveendra Chittoor is an Assistant Professor of Strategy at the Indian School of Business. His research focuses on the internationalisation strategies of emerging economy firms and the structure and strategies of family business groups in India. Prof. Chittoor’s current research is aimed at understanding how Indian family business groups create value in the firms affiliated to them. Prof. Chittoor has also been spearheading a joint effort by the ISB and Fundacao Dom Cabrall (FDC, a leading business school in Brazil) to systematically rank Indian transnational companies annually using globally accepted, multi-dimensional measures of internationalization. Prof. Chittoor is a recipient of several awards for his research.

Prof. Chittoor is a management graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a doctorate from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Prior to joining the ISB, he has taught at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and has industry experience of over twelve years in organizations such as IBM, CRISIL and Mumbai-based Rajan Raheja group. Prof. Chittoor teaches the core competitive strategy course at the ISB and elective courses on strategy implementation and global strategy.
Rohtash Mal
Chairman, Equitigro
With over 35 years of experience across various family owned businesses in varied industries like Telecom, Automobiles, Paper, Chemicals and Agri-Machinery, he is the Chairman of the recently founded Equitigro Ventures. Mr. Mal is a known organization builder, having led two large turnarounds and four start-ups.

An alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta, Mr. Mal has worked in leadership positions of family held businesses and regarded a turnaround expert. Prior to setting up Equitigro Ventures, Mr. Mal was the Executive Director & CEO of Escorts Limited. He has been in CEO/CXO positions with companies like Bharti Airtel, Maruti Suzuki and Ballarpur Industries Limited taking them to significant growth trajectories during his tenure.

A mentor and angel investor, Mr. Mal also represents Silicon Valleys’ Khosla Ventures at Moksha Yug Access and Driptech in India. He is a member of the Executive Advisory Committee of Simon Business School, University of Rochester,and actively involves himself in various committees of the Confederation of Indian Industry .

In the past, he has held leadership positions of Executive Director & CEO at Escorts Limited, CEO of Bharti FieldFresh Limited and Bharti Airtel Ltd. Earlier, he was Chief General Manager at Maruti Suzuki Ltd and Senior Vice President at Ballarpur Industries Limited. He has also been the President of Tractor Manufacturers Association.
Sharad D Amalean
Deputy Chairman, MAS Holdings, Srilanka
Mr. Sharad is the Deputy Chairman of MAS Holdings, an apparel business that he founded with his brothers in 1986. Since its inception MAS Holdings has grown to become the region’s largest provider of end to end apparel solutions for intimate & sports brands such as Victoria’s Secret, Triumph, GAP, Marks & Spencer, Nike, adidas. In the recent past the company has diversified into Information Technology, Brands & Industrial real estate.

Mr. Sharad played the crucial role of nurturing Joint ventures & strategic relationships that have been instrumental to the exponential growth of MAS Holdings.

Born in a business family, Mr. Sharad graduated from Royal College, Colombo and attended executive programmes at Kellogg, INSEAD and Wharton Business Schools.
Shobana Kamineni
Executive Director – New Initiatives, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited
Shobana heads the new initiatives of Apollo Hospitals that was founded by her father Dr. Prathap C Reddy. She formally joined Apollo Hospitals, in 1982 as a liaison and project executive. She has been instrumental in catalyzing several of Apollo’s ambitious projects. An institution of trust and clinical excellence, today Apollo touches and impacts millions of lives across 120 countries.

As Executive Director – New Initiatives she is not only involved in visualizing the project blueprint but also execution of these mega projects, down to the last detail. Ms. Shobana Kamineni spearheads Apollo Pharmacy - India’s largest pharma retailer with over 1500 pharmacies across India. In 2008 she headed Apollo’s foray into Health Insurance - Apollo Munich Health Insurance. Shobana nurtured Apollo Health Education and Research Foundation’s emergence as a milestone institution in cutting-edge clinical research in the region. She helped steer the Group to promote ‘BILLION HEARTS BEATING’ an NGO dedicated to educate and inform Indians on how to prevent heart disease.

An active member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Ms. Kamineni was the Chairperson of CII (Southern Region), Chairperson CII-AP and chaired the CII National Committee on Entrepreneurship. She continues to be a member of the CII National Council.

Shobana has been nominated as the Member of Executive Council & Finance Committee of Osmania University, Hyderabad. She is also Vice-Chairperson of the KEI Group that has interests in sectors like Energy, Pharma and Theme Parks.

Shobana received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the Stella Maris College, Chennai and has an accelerated Hospital Administration Diploma from Columbia University, New York. She has always been an avid sportsperson and was a national level squash player.
Sunil Kant Munjal
Jt Managing Director – Hero Moto Corp Limited, Chairman  - Hero Corporate Service Limited

Sunil Kant Munjal is a senior member of the $ 5.1 billion plus Hero Group and is responsible for developing growth strategy and implementation of new business plans for the Group. He is the Joint Managing Director of Hero MotoCorp and sits on the boards of a large number of Hero Group companies.

Munjal is also on the boards of DCM Shriram Consolidated, the Coca Cola India Advisory Board and the Bharti Foundation, the social service arm of Airtel. He is on the board of the Indian School of Business. He is a member of the Board of Governors of IIT, Ropar in Punjab. He also serves on the President’s Council at the University of Tokyo, Japan.

He was selected by ‘India Today’ magazine as one of the “Faces of the Millennium” for business. He has received GlobScot Award from the Scottish Government in Sept., 2012. He has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Governors of Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar by the Punjab Govt. in October, 2012. In the past, Mr. Munjal has been on the boards of Life Insurance Corporation of India Ltd, and PNB Gilts Ltd. Mr. Munjal was President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the year 2004-05.

.Munjal is currently a member of Prime Minister’s Council on Trade & Industry. He has been a member of noted committees like the Narasimham Committee (banking and financial sector reforms), Kelkar Committee (reforms in indirect taxes), Northern Regional Advisory Committee of The Industrial Development Bank of India and consultative groups on industry and external sector set up by the Planning Commission. He also chaired the Study Group on Skill Development, Training and Workers’ Education, constituted under the Second National Commission on Labour Reforms.

In addition, Munjal is involved in a number of other social and philanthropic activities.
Thomas Schmidheiny
Founder & Chairman, Spectrum Value Management Ltd, Zurich

Swiss, born 1945. Thomas Schmidheiny is chairman and founder of his family office Spectrum Value Management. Spectrum manages the investments of the Schmidheiny family.

After studying mechanical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ), Dr h.c. Schmidheiny began his career as Technical Director with Cementos Apasco (1970-1971). In 1973 he joined “Holderbank” Financière Glaris Ltd. (which became Holcim), where he served as Managing Director and Chairman (1978-2001) and Chairman of the Board (1984-2003). He continues to be a member of the Holcim Board of Directors, and is member of the Holcim Governance, Nomination & Compensation Committee. He is a principal stockholder of Holcim.

Dr h.c. Schmidheiny is also a board member and major shareholder of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz and Chairman of the Ernst Schmidheiny Foundation for public education, amongst others. He received an honorary Doctorate of Business Administration from Tufts University (USA) and holds an MBA from IMD. His particular interest is philanthropy: he engages in large donations and sponsoring to business schools, arts, education and start-ups through his foundations.
